Welcome![]() The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is a well-established national organisation with more than 140,000 members which aims to promote traditional real ale and pubs. CAMRA is organised into local branches run by volunteers; you have reached the home page of the York branch, Yorkshire's oldest. We cover an extensive geographical area, which includes Selby, Tadcaster and rural parts of North and East Yorkshire, as well as the city of York itself. Our members participate in a lively programme of social events, produce a regular newsletter and stage an annual beer festival. Read our volunteer's leaflet to find out more about what we do and how you can be part of it. Any feedback on the site or queries about York CAMRA should be directed to the appropriate contact. News and CampaignsOur Pub of the Year for 2013 is the Ferry Boat Inn at Thorganby. Our Club of the Year for 2013 is the Bishopthorpe Sports & Social Club. The Spring 2013 edition of Ouse Boozer is out now in your local pubs and also available for download. Our Pubs of the Season for Spring 2013 are the Habit in town and the Fenton Flyer at Church Fenton. |
CAMRA believes that if you pay for a pint of beer then that is what you should get - a full pint of liquid. Contact Trading Standards to report any pub which consistently serves short measure. |
