Young members

Calling all young members! Love real ale? Enjoy drinking in real British pubs? Wish you could meet like-minded people? Now you can!

I’m  Adam Pinder, and I’m your Branch Young Members Contact (BYMC).

CAMRA’s definition of a Young Member is a person under 30. My role as BYMC means that I am responsible for ensuring the branch considers the needs of young members when planning campaigning and social events. I will communicate with national and regional Young Members Contacts in order to keep abreast of special campaigns and promotions, and act on behalf of young members during the main branch meetings to promote our views in the branch.

My aim as BYMC for York is to encourage Young Members to get involved in the branch activities and to take part in social events throughout the year (see the branch socials diary for details). This includes trips to rural pubs, pub crawls, trips to other branch areas and beer festivals, and when the time comes, help with the York Beer Festival.

To get involved with Young Members social events in the York Branch area, and in the wider Yorkshire Region, or to find out more contact  Adam Pinder.
